This toy box is very easy to put together (I assembled it myself, and I'm 7 months pregnant), and the instructions are very clear. This toy box is also very solid. I can sit down on the top and it doesn't give an inch.Also, we really like the safety hinge that prevents the toy box lid from slamming shut on fingers. You have to push the lid to get it to close. However it is not what I would expect for the price. The wood is thin, and the floor of the box will not support heavy toys. For this price I would expect a solid piece of wood to support toys. I ordered the item with the safety hinges, which once installed are very stiff and when closing the lid, pulled the screws from the frame of the box.
